Basic Certificates


The first of the two certificates available from Samuel Clemens, is the basic certificate. This certificate is earned by working either an instant qualifier ( IQ ), an HC or work any combination of stations for a total of 50 points. The table below describes how you accumulate points with contacts made.

The next certificate available from the chapter is the King Aurthur's Court Certificate. This certificate is earned by first having your Basic Certificate and all endoursements including the Connecticut Yankee Seal. In addition, you must work a combination of two (2) CL, two (2) SQ members, or any 5 King Aurthurs Court contacts.

Other Awards:

WAS (Worked all states):

Both Samuel Clemens and King Arthurs court members may add to their points by earning their WAS seals. The following requirements must be met however to earn these seals.

  • Make one (1) legitimate conact on 10 meters with a King Arthur's Court certificate holder in each state. Exchange 10-x and KAC numbers and date.
  • All contacts must be made on or after 1 NOV 94. No retroactive contacts will be accepted. No convention contacts may be used.
  • Confirmation may be requested if there is any question about actual contacts. Method may be via photocopies or scanned (.bmp or .jpg files) if so required.
  • All contacts for your award must be made from your home state.
  • Up to five (5) "WAS Wild Cards" may be used. NOTE: a station used as a WC may NOT be used for any other state (not even his home state). Each WC may only be used ONCE.
  • Mobile contacts are valaid for the state they were in when you worked them. The same callsign may not be used again for their home state.
  • No FS, FC, ets., will be issued for this award.
  • No callsign/chapter numbers may be used more than one time.
  • All other contacts DO NOT require confirmation unless otherwise requested.
  • Your application must include a list in chapter numeric order with callsign, name, state, SC# and KAC#, date worked and 10x number to be a valid contact.
